Wolves have officially announced the loan signing of Celta Vigo striker Jørgen Strand Larsen for the upcoming season. The 24-year-old Norwegian international has joined the club on a temporary basis, with the possibility of a permanent deal in the future. If certain clauses are met, Larsen’s move will become permanent for a fee of £25 million, and he will be under contract until 2029.

Larsen arrives at Molineux after an impressive season in LaLiga, where he led the scoring charts for Celta Vigo with 13 goals. His performances caught the attention of many clubs, but Wolves managed to secure his services as their number one target for the striker position. Sporting director Matt Hobbs expressed his delight in signing Larsen, highlighting the importance of bringing in a quality number nine this summer.

The acquisition of Larsen marks Wolves’ fourth signing of the transfer window, following the arrivals of Tommy Doyle, Pedro Lima, and Rodrigo Gomes. The club’s manager, Gary O’Neil, will be looking to integrate Larsen into the squad quickly to bolster their attacking options for the upcoming season. With Larsen’s goal-scoring prowess and international experience, Wolves will be hoping he can make a significant impact during his time at the club.
