Charlie Lentz, a regular customer, was surprised with a birthday party at Bojangles to celebrate his 105th birthday. Lentz, who has been visiting the North Carolina restaurant for decades, is known for ordering the Leg & Thigh meal which staff often have ready for him upon his arrival. The surprise party was planned by Bojangles and attended by Lentz’s friends and family.
Lentz, who visits Bojangles every Sunday after church, was greeted with a birthday celebration instead of his usual meal. The event, held at the Winston-Salem location, was a big surprise for Lentz, who wore a Bojangles crown to mark the occasion.
Typically, Lentz visits Bojangles with family and friends from his church, located just a short distance from the restaurant. He is known for ordering the Leg & Thigh two-piece meal, which includes two sides and a biscuit. Bojangles, which opened its first restaurant in Charlotte in 1977, now operates over 800 restaurants across 17 states, with a focus on southern-inspired chicken and biscuits.
