A 13-year-old girl in Wales has been charged with three counts of attempted murder after stabbing two teachers and a student at Amman Valley School in Carmartenshire. The school, which has around 1,500 students aged between 11 and 18, went into lockdown after the incident on a “particularly difficult day.” The principal, James Durbridge, expressed his thoughts for the victims and their families and commended the staff and students for their calm response.
The victims, two teachers and a student, were able to leave the hospital following the attack. The 13-year-old girl responsible for the stabbings has been arrested and formally charged with attempted murder. Additionally, a 15-year-old boy was also arrested on suspicion of making threats related to the incident. Authorities are looking into social media posts that shared details about the suspected perpetrator.
The incident has raised concerns within the community as the school tries to cope with the aftermath of the violent attack. The safety and well-being of the students and staff are a top priority for the school administration as they work on addressing the situation and ensuring a secure environment for everyone.
