After receiving a 16-second post-race time penalty for low tyre pressure, Marc Marquez dropped from 4th to 10th in the Dutch Grand Prix. This penalty had a significant impact on the latest MotoGP World Championship standings for the 2024 season.
Jorge Martin still holds the top position with 200 points, followed closely by Francesco Bagnaia with 190 points. Despite his penalty, Marc Marquez remains in third place with 142 points, followed by Enea Bastianini and Maverick Viñales in 4th and 5th place respectively.
Pedro Acosta, Brad Binder, Fabio di Giannantonio, and Aleix Espargaro round out the top 9 positions in the standings. Alex Marquez dropped to 10th place after his penalty, with Marco Bezzecchi, Raul Fernandez, and Franco Morbidelli following closely behind.
Fabio Quartararo, Jack Miller, and Miguel Oliveira hold the 14th, 15th, and 16th positions in the standings, with Augusto Fernandez, Joan Mir, Johann Zarco, Alex Rins, Takaaki Nakagami, and Daniel Pedrosa completing the top 22. It is worth noting that Pedro Acosta is a rookie who has shown promise in the championship standings despite being a newcomer to the MotoGP World Championship.
