2024 Olympic Swimming Trials: Guide to watching and preview

The U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials for the 2024 Paris Games will be broadcast live on NBC, NBCOlympics.com, the NBC Sports app, and Peacock from June 15-23 at Lucas Oil Stadium, home of the Indianapolis Colts. Qualifying heats will take place at 11 a.m. ET daily and will be aired live on Peacock, with semifinals and finals scheduled for 8 p.m. ET daily on NBC and Peacock. Coverage will also be available for streaming on NBCOlympics.com and the NBC Sports app.

The broadcast schedule for the 2024 Olympic Swimming Trials includes qualifying heats, semifinals, and finals from June 15-23, with different coverage times on each day. The top two athletes in each event are expected to secure a spot on the Olympic team individually if they have met the Olympic qualifying time standard. Up to the top six may make the team in the 100m and 200m freestyles for relays, making for an exciting competition.

Some of the top contenders at the Olympic Swimming Trials include renowned swimmers like Katie Ledecky, Caeleb Dressel, Regan Smith, Kate Douglass, Ryan Murphy, and Carson Foster. Ledecky, a seven-time Olympic gold medalist, is expected to dominate in the 200m, 400m, 800m, and 1500m freestyle events, eyeing a fourth Olympics. Dressel, who won five gold medals at the Tokyo Games, is set to compete in the 50m and 100m freestyle events, as well as the 100m butterfly. Additionally, Smith, Douglass, Murphy, and Foster are strong candidates to make the Olympic team in multiple events, showcasing the depth of talent at the Trials.
