Residents and staff at Riverview Health and Rehabilitation Center in Savannah had a wonderful time celebrating their 2024 prom with WTOC’s Dawn Baker. The event was a grand affair, with residents dressed in fancy outfits and joined by their families, volunteers, and even some Savannah Police officers. It was an extra special afternoon filled with joy and excitement.
Misty Harvest, the Director of Business Development at Riverview, expressed how important events like the prom are for the residents. Despite not always wanting to participate in other activities, the residents were eager to get their hair done, look fabulous, and take part in the prom. This kind of event improves their quality of life and gives them something to look forward to.
During the prom, Dawn Baker had the honor of announcing the 2024 prom king, Mr. James Webber, and prom queen, Mrs. Melvina Gould. It was a momentous occasion for everyone involved, and the residents were grateful for such a memorable afternoon.
