The Ministry of Commerce conducted inspections, leading to the 30th meeting of the Unfair Price Evaluation Board. The meeting discussed inspections in the new vehicle sector, as well as cement and ready-mixed concrete producing companies. After the meeting, fines totaling over 105 million lira were imposed on 36 businesses. Specifically, 20 stockists in the new automobile sector were fined 71 million 337 thousand liras, and 16 cement and ready-mixed concrete companies were fined 33 million 791 thousand liras for applying exorbitant prices.
In addition to the fines, the Ministry also stopped the publishing of new vehicle advertisements on Facebook. The Ministry had previously mandated identity verification for those who advertise on advertising sites.
