4-star offensive lineman Dontrell Glover advances commitment date

Highly rated offensive lineman Dontrell Glover has decided to move up his commitment date from July 1 to June 24. Following an official visit with the Georgia Bulldogs, Glover is expected to commit to Georgia football. The talented lineman currently plays for Langston Hughes High School in Fairburn, Georgia and is ranked as the No. 16 interior offensive lineman, the No. 34 player in Georgia, and the No. 285 player in the 2025 cycle.

Initially committed to Alabama, Glover decommitted after Nick Saban’s retirement and has since narrowed down his choices to Georgia, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Florida State. Despite having Florida State as one of his final four schools, it appears that Georgia is the front runner for his commitment.

Standing at 6-foot-3 and weighing 315 pounds, Glover fits the criteria that Kirby Smart and his coaching staff are searching for on the offensive line. Although he had an official visit scheduled with Florida State in June, Glover has pushed it back to the fall, making it seem unlikely that he will choose the Seminoles.

Recruiting has been going well for Georgia, as they have recently secured four commitments for the class of 2025, and currently have the No. 4 recruiting class in the nation. While the team has 13 commitments for the upcoming class, only one of them is an offensive lineman in the form of four-star Mason Short. This indicates that the Georgia coaching staff is looking to add more depth to their offensive line group.
