5 beverages to improve symptoms of hepatitis B

Milk, young coconut water, green or black tea, and turmeric powder water all provide essential vitamins and minerals, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatory properties that can help improve hepatitis B. Hepatitis B is a liver infection caused by the hepatitis B virus (HBV). Vietnam currently has about 10 million people with hepatitis B, most of them in the chronic form. The disease can lead to serious liver damage such as cirrhosis, liver failure, and liver cancer. It is important for patients to seek examination and treatment at a specialized medical facility.

MSc. Nguyen Anh Duy Tung from Nutrihome Nutrition Center emphasizes the importance of a scientific, complete, and balanced diet that includes essential nutrient groups like carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals. A balanced diet can help boost the immune system, improve liver function, and increase treatment effectiveness. Including drinks rich in protein, vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and strong anti-inflammatory substances can promote the elimination of viruses, protect liver cells, and aid in the restoration of damage caused by the hepatitis B virus.

Milk provides high-quality protein with all the necessary amino acids for the body. It helps strengthen immune antibodies, repair damaged liver cells, and regulate liver function. Young coconut water contains nutrients beneficial for the liver and helps with anti-inflammation and healing liver damage. Turmeric starch water is rich in curcumin, which has antioxidant effects and can inhibit the infection and proliferation of the hepatitis B virus.

Green tea and black tea are rich in antioxidants that can prevent infection and proliferation of the hepatitis B virus and support liver function recovery. Coffee contains polyphenols and caffeine that help reduce fat accumulation in the liver and prevent cirrhosis, but should be consumed in moderation to avoid side effects such as insomnia and increased blood pressure.

Doctor Duy Tung recommends regular check-ups, taking prescribed medication, getting vaccinated against hepatitis A, and being tested for hepatitis C. It is important to exercise regularly, maintain a healthy weight, avoid stress, limit the intake of unhealthy foods, avoid alcohol, and stay away from cigarette smoke. Supplementing natural essences like S. Marianum and Wasabia can also help control kupffer cell activity in the liver, improve inflammation, increase detoxification ability, and protect the liver against harmful agents. These natural essences can aid in restoring liver function and preventing complications from cirrhosis and liver cancer.
