A Glimpse of Africa is celebrating Africa Day by hosting a 2-day Mental Health and Wellness Fair and sports tournaments this weekend in Grand Rapids, Michigan. The focus of the event is to share African culture and provide community resources that are essential for building healthy and secure futures in West Michigan. What better way to bring people together than through a little friendly competition?
The event, taking place on May 25th and 26th, will feature experts discussing mental health and other health resources, as well as providing opportunities to experience authentic African cuisine and culture. Attendees can also learn about financial health, immigration, housing services, and participate in all-ages activities.
A variety of activities will be available, including soccer and kickball tournaments, youth dance and modeling classes, and showcasing authentic African art and crafts. The event is free and open to everyone, and will be held at Southeast Kelloggsville Elementary from noon to 6 p.m. on both days. Come join in the celebration and experience the rich culture of Africa!
