A guide to watching schedules, trailers, and live-action.

The 2022/23 World Rugby Sevens Series is set to take place in Toulouse from May 12 to May 14, 2023. The event will feature the final women’s round and the penultimate round of the men’s series. Three teams – Ireland, Fiji, and Great Britain – have a chance to secure final tickets to be awarded through the Women’s World Sevens Series.

Currently, New Zealand, Australia, and the USA are the top three teams in the standings, all of whom are already qualified for the Olympics. Fourth-placed France will host the tournament, while Ireland, Fiji, and Great Britain will compete for the final standings. Great Britain entered the tournament in top form after winning the bronze medal against Fiji in their last match in Hong Kong.

New Zealand, on the other hand, has officially won the title again with their ninth place and above. Meanwhile, the men’s team has won both Hong Kong and Singapore, building their 22-point lead over Argentina in their two remaining events. They are looking for a third straight win, and could clinch the Men’s World Sevens Series title if they won gold in Toulouse.

Whereas, Fiji, the Olympic champions, are trailing behind by 10 points and hope to overtake Argentina. The two teams are now 28 and 18 points clear of Australia, respectively. Both teams will qualify as long as they have enough points to maintain a lead of at least 22 points heading into the London event.
