The building that previously housed the law office of Blanchard, Merriam, Adel, Kirkland & Green has welcomed a new tenant, Cogent Bank. The building is located on the southwest corner of the Ocala downtown square at 4 SE Broadway St. It was sold for $3.2 million last year to a company based in North Palm Beach, which now lists an Ocala address.
Cogent Bank, a state-chartered, Florida-based commercial bank, announced its new office location in a news release on Tuesday. The new office is set to open this summer and will be the ninth full-service banking center for Cogent statewide. As part of the expansion, eight new team members will be hired to provide service to businesses and individuals in the Ocala metropolitan area and surrounding communities.
The previous law firm’s offices have been relocated to 1007 E. Fort King St. in Ocala.
