A 24-year-old woman has been accused of attempted aggravated murder of her 30-year-old extramarital partner. The incident occurred in their house in Parago, where a heated argument escalated into physical violence. The man hit his partner on the head with his hands, prompting the woman to defend herself with a knife, resulting in several stab wounds to the man’s body. The injured man was promptly transported to Čakovec County Hospital, where he was diagnosed with serious, life-threatening injuries and detained for further treatment. Following a criminal investigation, the 24-year-old woman was handed over to the custody supervisor of the Međimurje Police Department and brought before the County Court in Varaždin at the recommendation of the competent state attorney.
