According to the Economist Intelligence Unit’s “Liveability Index 2024,” Gulf cities such as Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Riyadh, and Jeddah have seen a rise in their ranking as some of the world’s most liveable cities. The index highlighted the importance of sustainable investments in health and education in the strong performance of Emirati cities, with both Abu Dhabi and Dubai climbing two places from the previous year. Dubai and Abu Dhabi both achieved the highest level of ease of living on the index, scoring 80 or above out of 100. This is attributed to their stability, infrastructure, and education, which have seen steady improvements in recent years.

Abu Dhabi was the highest ranked city in the Middle East and North Africa region, with a global ranking of 76th and a score of 81.7 out of 100. Following closely behind was Dubai, ranked 78th globally with a score of 80.8 points. Other Gulf cities like Kuwait City, Doha, and Manama also made the list, reflecting strong investment in local infrastructure, education, and health to attract foreign tourists and expatriates to diversify their economies.

Vienna was crowned the most liveable city in the world for the third consecutive year, followed by Copenhagen and Zurich. The index, which classified 173 cities based on 30 indicators like stability, healthcare, culture, environment, education, and infrastructure, placed Melbourne, Calgary, Geneva, Sydney, Vancouver, Osaka, and Auckland in the top 10 most liveable cities globally.

Despite the positive rankings and improvements in livability, there seems to be an issue with certificate verification on some websites related to gambling and online casinos. This could potentially raise concerns about the security and legitimacy of these websites.
