Academy Sports and Outdoors has teamed up with DoorDash to provide on-demand delivery of a wide range of products, including apparel, footwear, sporting goods, outdoor recreation equipment, and more. Customers can now have their orders delivered from 285 Academy Sports and Outdoors locations across 19 states in under an hour on average. DashPass members with eligible orders will not be charged an additional delivery fee, making the service even more convenient.
The partnership with Academy Sports and Outdoors showcases DoorDash’s expansion beyond just restaurants. Over the past year, DoorDash has added more retailers to its platform, including Ulta Beauty, Lowe’s, The Vitamin Shoppe, Camping World, and Staples. This collaboration allows shoppers to access the products they need quickly and easily, enhancing their overall shopping experience.

Academy Sports and Outdoors recently announced plans to open between 160 to 180 stores over the next five years, with initial locations set to open in 2024. The retailer has also expanded its product assortments through partnerships with Fanatics and L.L. Bean. With a focus on enhancing the customer experience, Academy Sports and Outdoors continues to evolve its offerings to meet the diverse needs of its shoppers.
