Toby Savin, a 23-year-old goalkeeper, has signed a two-year deal with League One club Shrewsbury from League Two Accrington Stanley. Despite his young age, Savin has already made over 100 professional appearances, showcasing his experience on the field.

Head coach Paul Hurst expressed his excitement about having Savin on the team, noting that the goalkeeper had attracted interest from clubs higher up the leagues. Hurst believes that Savin has the potential to be a great goalkeeper and that it is their job to help him reach his full potential.

Savin made his debut for Accrington in 2017 and quickly became a regular in the team. He also spent time on loan at Stevenage in February 2023, gaining valuable experience. His decision to join Shrewsbury marks a new chapter in his career as he looks to continue developing as a player.

The signing of Savin is part of Shrewsbury’s summer recruitment drive, with midfielder Harrison Biggins also joining the club. Savin’s addition to the team adds depth and skill to the roster as they prepare for the upcoming season.
