Achievements for Science Club: Recognized with Impact and Excellence Awards

The Super Science Club was awarded Outstanding Club or Organization of the Year at the 2024 Impact and Excellence Awards ceremony held at the DoubleTree by Hilton. During the event, a group of twelve club members and advisers went on stage to accept the award, with club President Bryant Pepe expressing his excitement and gratitude for the recognition. Pepe, who is a third-year student studying physics and earth science, shared that winning the award felt like a culmination of all the hard work the club had put in. He emphasized the club’s commitment to providing the best possible experience for its members and community, and how their efforts have made a positive impact.

The Impact and Excellence Awards honored more than 50 individuals, including students, faculty, and staff members, for their exceptional contributions to the college community. Ben Surosky, the President of the Adventure Society, was recognized as Outstanding Club or Organization Member of the Year during the ceremony. Surosky, a third-year student majoring in Spanish, expressed his happiness at receiving the award and reflected on the journey his club had taken. He expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to lead the club and was pleased with the progress they had made.

Overall, the event was a celebration of the hard work and dedication displayed by various individuals and organizations within the college community. It highlighted the positive impact that these groups have had on their members and the community at large. The recognition given at the Impact and Excellence Awards served as a reminder of the importance of teamwork, leadership, and community involvement in shaping a vibrant and successful college experience.
