Acquisition of Caregivers Home Health by Elara Caring

Elara Caring, a senior care provider based in Dallas, has recently acquired Caregivers Home Health, a company that provides services in Kansas and Iowa. This acquisition will expand Elara Caring’s presence in these states. Caregivers Home Health, founded in 2004 and headquartered in Topeka, Kansas, is a 150-person home health company with additional locations in Garden City, Kansas, Centerville, Iowa, and Chariton, Iowa.

Scott Powers, the CEO and chairman of Elara Caring, expressed excitement about welcoming the caregivers and patients from Caregivers Home Health. He emphasized that Elara Caring’s relationship-based approach, value-based care model, and innovative care delivery have improved patient outcomes in communities nationwide. This acquisition marks Elara Caring’s entrance into the Iowa market, adding to their existing services in 18 states.

Elara Caring currently offers services such as home health, hospice, personal care, behavioral health, and palliative care. With over 200 locations, the company’s clinicians serve more than 60,000 patients. This acquisition of Caregivers Home Health is just the latest in a series of strategic moves by Elara Caring. In recent years, they have expanded into Rhode Island and Illinois through acquisitions of other healthcare providers.

Ed Schulte, the CEO and President of Caregivers Home Health, expressed confidence in Elara Caring as a partner due to their reputation for quality care and service. He believes that their team members, patients, and referral partners are in good hands under the leadership of Elara Caring.
