Adored Sports Bar Exiles Expands with New Location in Adams Morgan

Easy Tiger Tavern opened its doors in Adams Morgan on June 1, serving as a new addition to the neighborhood. After a slight delay in its opening, this new sports bar has quickly gained popularity among residents. Located on Columbia Road, Easy Tiger Tavern has replaced the former Pop’s Sea Bar and aims to cater to Arsenal and Louisiana State University fans.

The idea for Easy Tiger Tavern came from the team behind the popular Exiles Bar on U Street. With unique allegiances to various sports teams such as Liverpool FC, Penn State, and the Buffalo Bills, Exiles Bar has become a beloved spot in the city. The new Easy Tiger Tavern is set to offer a different experience, with a focus on Arsenal and Louisiana State University fans. Co-owner Jennie Smith, a familiar face in the neighborhood, brings her expertise from her time at the now-closed Smoke & Barrel to this new venture.

Aside from being a sports bar, Easy Tiger Tavern aims to provide an inviting space for the community to hang out and relax. The bar menu features a variety of drinks, from draft and canned beers to cocktails crafted by beverage director Wes Horton. Chef Henry Reyes offers a delicious menu that includes wings, loaded tots, and more elevated dishes like burrata with seasonal vegetables or a crispy buffalo chicken sandwich. One of the favorites on the menu is the tempura-battered fish and chips that have received high praise from patrons.

With a cozy and friendly atmosphere, Easy Tiger Tavern stays open until 2 AM to cater to the late-night crowd. The pub-style wood paneling and hunter green walls create a warm environment where everyone can feel comfortable. The team behind Easy Tiger Tavern strives to provide an enjoyable experience for all visitors, just like its sibling, Exiles Bar. So, whether you’re in Adams Morgan or U Street, you are sure to find a welcoming sports bar to relax and unwind at Easy Tiger Tavern.
