Last week, there was a lot of business news happening across Connecticut. If you missed any updates on your local Patch, here is a summary of some of the most popular business stories. The $300 million, 549-room indoor water park resort has officially broken ground on a 13-acre property. Great Wolf, North America’s largest family of indoor water park resorts, will be opening its third location in the Northeast and 23rd in North America.

In other news, a popular burger restaurant chain has closed one of its locations. The store prided itself on using fresh ingredients and baking cookies in-house. Another business that prides itself on simplicity and transparency is set to open its 16th store in Connecticut with no gimmicks or confusion. Residents are excitedly anticipating the grand opening of an iconic pizzeria in the area.

On a positive note, a beloved but abandoned diner in Connecticut is getting a second chance with the approval of a multi-million-dollar grant. Additionally, a new eatery has opened, offering a daily rotating hot food bar and a diverse menu of artisanal pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, burgers, and more. The Patch community platform is dedicated to serving communities across Connecticut and has a presence in Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, New London, Hartford, Tolland, and Litchfield counties.
