The Qatar Development Fund has made a pledge to donate to the Right to Education project, which is being implemented by the Institute for Health, Development, Information and Policy (HDIP). The project is aimed at strengthening education in Palestinian communities by enhancing the skill sets of Palestinian youth residing in the most affected areas. The goal of this initiative is to increase employment opportunities for young Palestinians, enabling them to flourish in an ever-changing job market.
The project proposes a minimum of 384 hours of training per year over the next three years. Specifically, the project’s activities are focused on empowering the most vulnerable young people in Palestinian society, enabling them to become active, contributing members of their communities. The initiative also provides life skills that can be practiced to become a leading member of the community.
In light of the current situation in Palestine, there is a desperate need for educational development projects that help advance Palestinian communities and help them grow and prosper. QFFD is hopeful that this partnership with HDIP will be a step in the right direction towards investing in newly discovered skills and bolstering the Palestinian knowledge base.
