AI Cooperation Measures Adopted by the UN

During the 78th session of the United Nations General Assembly, a resolution on strengthening international cooperation in developing artificial intelligence (AI) capabilities was unanimously adopted. This resolution, proposed by China and co-sponsored by over 140 countries, highlights the importance of AI development adhering to human-centric principles and benefiting humanity.

The measure encourages countries to engage in international cooperation and take practical actions to enhance their artificial intelligence capabilities, particularly in developing nations. It aims to increase representation and voice for these countries in global governance related to AI and advocates for an open, fair, and non-discriminatory business environment in this field.

Furthermore, the resolution supports the United Nations in playing a central role in facilitating international cooperation on artificial intelligence. It emphasizes the need for collaboration to ensure that AI technologies are used for the greater good and contribute positively to global development.
