Satya Nadella discussed Microsoft’s collaboration with OpenAI at the Build 2024 event. He stated that more than 50,000 organizations are currently utilizing Azure AI. Nadella highlighted the wide array of frontier and open-source models available with Azure AI, including LLMs and SLMs. He also mentioned the integration of GPT-4o into Azure AI and referred to OpenAI as Microsoft’s most strategic and important partnership.
Nadella talked about Copilot, an AI tool that will leverage GPT-4o. He demonstrated how Copilot can assist users by sharing their screen and providing suggestions in real-time. An example was shown of someone playing “Minecraft” while interacting with Copilot, which was able to analyze the game screen and offer helpful advice on crafting and survival strategies.
Following the demonstration, Nadella announced the general availability of GPT-4o on Azure AI. This advancement showcases Microsoft’s commitment to providing cutting-edge AI technologies to help organizations and individuals enhance their productivity and efficiency.
