Aidan Morris signs for Middlesbrough from Columbus Crew

Championship side Middlesbrough has secured a deal to sign Aidan Morris from MLS Cup champions Columbus Crew. The midfielder will be moving to England for a reported fee of $4 million. Morris will join Middlesbrough, who are aiming to improve upon their 8th place finish in the 2023/24 campaign.

Expressing his gratitude, Morris said, “I’m just so blessed. My heart is Black & Gold. It’s been an amazing ride. Besides from all the MLS Cups, I’ve created amazing relationships here with amazing people, and that goes a lot more of a way than winning.”

Middlesbrough manager Michael Carrick welcomed Morris to the club, stating, “We’re delighted to welcome Aidan to the club. He’s a good player who suits our style of play. He’s strong, likes to get on the ball, and plays off both feet. He’s at a good age, has tasted success, and brings a wealth of experience. We’re excited to work with him.”

With Morris now part of Middlesbrough’s squad, fans are eager to see how his skills and experience will contribute to the team’s performance in the upcoming season. Their hope is that he will be a valuable addition to help Middlesbrough achieve their goals and potentially secure promotion to the Premier League.
