Alabama secures commitment from highly-rated 2025 cornerback Chuck McDonald

The Alabama Crimson Tide coaching staff has been making waves on the recruiting trail recently. Their latest commitment came from four-star cornerback Chuck McDonald in the 2025 class. McDonald decided to commit to the Crimson Tide over other schools like Georgia, Oregon, and USC.

After taking an official visit to Alabama over the weekend, McDonald was impressed enough to make his commitment just a few days later. He canceled his remaining visit plans and solidified his decision to join the Crimson Tide. McDonald is the second player from Mater Dei High School to commit to Alabama, following four-star linebacker Abduall Sanders.

Alabama has a history of success recruiting players from Mater Dei, with former standouts like Bryce Young, Zabien Brown, and Tommy Brown all making the journey from California to Tuscaloosa. McDonald’s commitment further strengthens the pipeline between Santa Ana and the Crimson Tide, as head coach Kalen DeBoer continues to prioritize recruiting on the West Coast.

Standing at 6 feet tall and weighing 190 pounds, McDonald brings size and versatility to Alabama’s cornerback room. He is expected to play a key role in the defense once he arrives on campus. With McDonald’s commitment, Alabama continues to build a strong 2025 recruiting class that includes players from all over the country. Roll Tide Wire will keep fans updated on all Alabama football news and recruiting activities as the offseason progresses.
