At the Doha World Cup, Kaylia Nemour of Algeria, the 2023 World uneven bars silver medallist, continued her winning streak by claiming the gold in the uneven bars final with a score of 15.366. She won by more than a point, with Levi Ruivivar of the Philippines in second place with a score of 13.633 and Alena Tsitavets, a neutral athlete, in third with 13.600.
On the women’s vault, Karla Navas of Panama took the gold with an average score of 13.850, followed closely by An Chang Ok of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea with 13.833, and Valentina Georgieva of Bulgaria in third with 13.466.
In the men’s competition, Milad Karimi of Kazakhstan won the floor exercise final with a score of 14.766, beating Luke Whitehouse of Team GB who scored 14.566. Dmitriy Patanin, also from Kazakhstan, took the bronze with a score of 14.500.
The men’s pommel horse final was a tight contest with Ahmad Abu Al Soud of Jordan claiming the gold with a score of 15.500, ahead of Lee Chih Kai of Chinese Taipei with 15.400, and Rhys McClenaghan of Ireland in third with 15.233.
The first day of finals also saw Vahagn Davtyan of Armenia winning the still rings final with a score of 14.833, followed by Nikita Simonov of Azerbaijan with 14.800, and Samir Ait Said of France in third with 14.633.
The competition in Doha will conclude on Saturday with the men’s vault, parallel bars, and horizontal bar, as well as the women’s balance beam and floor exercise. It promises to be an exciting end to the tournament.
