Amari Cooper: My goal is to secure a new contract this year

Browns wide receiver Amari Cooper opted out of the team’s offseason workouts and mandatory minicamp due to contract negotiations and concerns about his health. In an interview with Betr, Cooper mentioned that he is focused on securing a new deal and doesn’t want to risk injury before signing a new contract. He also expressed his desire to be financially compensated for his performance on the field.

Cooper was praised by his interviewer for being one of the best route runners in the league but was challenged to a race to test his speed. Cooper declined the challenge, citing financial motivations and the importance of staying healthy for the upcoming season. Browns General Manager Andrew Berry has acknowledged Cooper’s importance to the team and indicated that they are working on negotiating a contract that works for both parties.

Head coach Kevin Stefanski also mentioned that there have been discussions with Cooper about a potential contract extension. It seems that both the Browns and Cooper are working towards finding a solution that benefits everyone involved, ensuring that Cooper remains a valuable asset to the team in the future.
