Many hospitals are failing to comply with the law that requires them to post their prices online, with only about 36% fully complying. As a result, there is a growing demand for changes from Congress, as well as from employers and unions. This has sparked a fight for transparent health care prices in America.
Cynthia Fisher, founder and chairman of PatientRightsAdvocate.org, a nonprofit organization focused on health care price transparency, is one of the guests discussing the issue. Molly Smith, group vice president for public policy at the American Hospital Association, is also featured, providing her perspective on the matter.
The program also features Kevin Lyons, director of member benefits for the New Jersey State Policemen’s Benevolent Association, and Zachary Bessler, a software engineer. Jeff Millhollin, president and CEO of Pacific Steel & Recycling, is also included in the discussion.
This program is scheduled to air on February 13, 2024, and audio will be available after the broadcast.
