Today, the official signing ceremony of the agreement “between the Republic of Armenia and the European Union on the status of the EU mission in Armenia” was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the information department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the agreement was signed on the Armenian side by RA Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan, and on the EU side by the Head of the European Union Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Vasilis Maragos. Deputy Foreign Minister Paruyr Hovhannisyan announced at the beginning of this month that progress has been made in fixing the status of the European Union mission in Armenia, and an agreement on the immunity and privileges of European Union observers should be signed soon.
“The strengthening and expansion of the EU observation mission is on Yerevan’s agenda,” Hovhannisyan said.
