Following the game on Saturday, Angel Reese did not speak to the media, but she is speaking out now. In the game between the Chicago Sky and Indiana Fever, Sky guard Chennedy Carter made a shoulder shot to Fever’s Caitlin Clark, causing her to fall to the floor in the third quarter. After reviewing the play, the WNBA upgraded Carter’s foul to a flagrant-1 violation. Additionally, Angel Reese was fined $1,000 for not making herself available to the media after the game, and the Sky were fined $5,000 for not ensuring all players comply with league media policies.

During a media availability on Monday, both Carter and Reese addressed reporters. Carter expressed no regrets about her actions in Saturday’s game, stating that she always competes with full intensity regardless of the opponent. Reese defended her teammate, saying that Carter had taken accountability for what happened, and they had moved forward. Reese emphasized the importance of recognizing all players in women’s basketball, not just focusing on one individual.
