Former LSU standout and current Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese made history on Sunday by securing her 10th consecutive double-double. This achievement surpassed the previous single-season record of nine held by Candace Parker since 2015. Reese’s remarkable performance included grabbing 16 rebounds and scoring 10 points, even though her team fell short against the Minnesota Lynx with a final score of 70-62.

Having excelled at producing double-doubles during her college years at LSU, Reese seamlessly transitioned this skill to the WNBA. Her league-leading average of 11.4 rebounds per game showcases her dominance on the court, keeping her in contention for the rookie of the year title alongside Caitlin Clark. Additionally, Reese has demonstrated her scoring capabilities by averaging 13.3 points per game, highlighting her versatility and potential to become one of the top players in the league as she continues to grow.

Despite being selected as the No. 7 overall pick in the draft, several teams are now second-guessing their decision to pass on Reese’s exceptional talents. Currently ranking 16th in the league for win shares per 40 minutes, Reese’s performance is the best on her team and sets her apart as a leading rookie in the WNBA.
