Entering his ninth season in Minnesota, Derik Keyes continues to demonstrate a relentless approach in connecting the health and performance department and pushing players to be their best. Valued as a key member of the staff, Keyes will have an increased role in leading the Vikings football development program.

Vikings fullback C.J. Ham spoke about the impact Keyes has made in his life on and off the field throughout his pro career. Ham emphasized Keyes’ character, loyalty, and trustworthiness, noting that players can rely on him for support both in the weight room and with personal matters. Keyes has not only been a mentor to Ham but has also become a close friend who pushes him to be better and provides honest feedback.

Ham expressed his excitement about Keyes’ promotion, highlighting that it suits him well. Keyes’ dedication and commitment to the team have earned him this opportunity to take on a more significant role in the organization.

A list of new hires and promotions within the Vikings football and performance staff was also announced. The list includes Kyle DeLaura as an Equipment Assistant, Shane Normandeau as a Pro Scout, Emily Badis as the Senior Manager of Football Administration, Oliver Bowling as the Senior Football Video Coordinator, and others. These additions and promotions reflect the team’s commitment to enhancing its staff and improving its performance on the field.
