Camp Kemo, a free summer camp for children with cancer, is making a return to the Midlands thanks to Prisma Health Children’s Hospital – Midlands. This camp provides a week of various activities for children with cancer or blood disorders, as well as their siblings, at no cost to families. The camp is fully funded through donations to the Prisma Health Midlands Foundation.
Celebrating its 45th year, Camp Kemo’s theme this year is “The Great Expedition.” The camp aims to give parents caring for children with cancer a much-needed break and peace of mind, knowing their children are in good hands with physicians, nurses, and other staff. The camp is scheduled to take place from June 10 to June 14 at Camp Cole in Eastover, SC.
