The annual Police Athletic League science fair brought together students from all five boroughs to showcase their knowledge of science, technology, engineering, and math. The PAL center in Longwood was bustling with young minds eager to demonstrate their skills. Students ranging from fifth to eighth grade presented their projects, which centered around natural disasters.

Participants were tasked with creating structures capable of withstanding disasters such as hurricanes, earthquakes, wildfires, and more for a minimum of 20 seconds. The projects on display featured a variety of designs, including bridges, highways, and armories. The competition was fierce as students put their engineering skills to the test.

The first-place winner of the science fair was awarded $500 to fund a STEM project at their center. It was a rewarding experience for all involved, as students not only gained practical knowledge but also developed their critical thinking and problem-solving abilities. The annual event served as a platform for young engineers in training to showcase their talents and passion for STEM fields.
