Appeal for Italy’s Relaunch by Young Innovators at Business Forum

The third edition of the Young Innovators Business Forum focused on putting young talents at the center, supporting the business sector, promoting incentives for research and development, strengthening investments in startups, and accelerating ecological and digital transition processes. This event, held at the Testori Auditorium, was organized by ANGI – National Association of Young Innovators in collaboration with the Offices of the European Parliament in Italy, and attended by representatives from the business world, institutions, and digital opinion leaders.

The President of ANGI, Gabriele Ferrieri, emphasized the importance of public and private partnerships in driving innovation and supporting young talents, startups, and research to enhance the competitiveness of the Italian and European economy. Minister of the Environment and Energy Security, Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, highlighted Italy’s role as a global leader in innovation and the importance of ecological and digital transitions for a sustainable future.

Technological advancements such as artificial intelligence, cloud computing, 5G, and supercomputers were discussed by Undersecretary to the Presidency of the Council, Alessandro Morelli. The event also featured contributions from industry experts, trade associations, and local universities, outlining the future of innovation in Italy.

Presentations from companies like A2A and Bayer Crop Science Italia highlighted their commitment to supporting innovative solutions for sustainability and regenerative agriculture. The event also unveiled the “Manifesto for a competitive Italy under the banner of Open Innovation,” setting the stage for Italy to become a global innovation hub.

The report from the Observatory on innovation and digital, presented by ANGI Ricerche in collaboration with Lab21.01, outlined key trends and priorities for innovation in Italy. The data reflected a growing interest in new technologies like artificial intelligence, blockchain, and cybersecurity among young Italians, pointing towards a bright future for innovation in the country.
