Argentina, the champions of the World Cup, will encounter Australia during their Asia tour in China and also visit Indonesia.

Next month, World Cup champions Argentina will play two exhibition matches in Asia. They will face Australia and Indonesia at Beijing’s Workers’ Stadium. The game against the Socceroos will take place on June 15th, marking the first meeting between the two teams since Lionel Messi’s Argentina national team beat Australia 2-1 in the World Cup held in Qatar last December.

The Argentine Football Federation has also confirmed that the national team will play Indonesia on June 19th in Jakarta. It’s an opportunity for the two countries to work together both on and off the football field. Football Australia’s Chief Executive, James Johnson, expressed his excitement about the invitation, saying it will open up even more for Australia as football is a truly global game.

Argentina’s game in Indonesia is scheduled one week after the U-20 World Cup final in La Plata. Argentina took over from Indonesia as hosts and participants in the U20 tournament. This was due to protests against the Israeli team’s hosting in Muslim-majority Indonesia, which forced FIFA’s venue change.

Overall, this upcoming exhibition tour will bring football fans in Asia great excitement as they watch the world’s top team, Argentina, in action.
