In Sudan, a famine is imminent, more than a year after the war began. With limited aid available, Sudanese people are struggling to fill the gap left by the lack of international support. It is estimated that if conditions do not improve, 2.5 million people could die by September, yet only a fraction of the necessary aid has been funded by the international community. Additionally, aid that does manage to arrive in Sudan may be blocked or subject to looting.
In response to this crisis, this episode explores what the Sudanese people are doing to try and mitigate the effects of the famine. It delves into the challenges they face and the creative solutions they are implementing to ensure their survival in the face of limited resources and support.
