Atalanta, a Serie A side, is on the verge of signing Milan’s Charles de Ketelaere permanently after his successful loan spell at La Dea during the 2023/24 season. La Dea had expressed interest in securing the Belgian player on a permanent basis earlier, but they were looking for discounts in a potential deal. Recent reports suggest that progress has been made in negotiations, and de Ketelaere will be joining Atalanta permanently, the Europa League champions.
According to Sky Italia, the deal is expected to be finalized today, with Atalanta set to pay €22 million for de Ketelaere. This amount is only one million less than what Milan had originally requested in the agreement. The payment is expected to be made soon, securing the Belgian player’s future with Atalanta.
In addition to de Ketelaere, Atalanta is also reportedly in talks to sign Nicolo Zaniolo on a loan deal. However, Fiorentina is also interested in the Italian winger and may make a move for him as well. The negotiations for both players are ongoing, and it remains to be seen where Zaniolo will end up next season. Atalanta’s active transfer window indicates their ambition and determination to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
