CHARLOTTE — Atrium Properly being’s site went offline on Monday afternoon, shortly after a Russian hacking group posted a threat to a Charlotte-based hospital neighborhood.

Hacking group Killnet is believed for its “denial of service” assaults in opposition to firms and authorities companies. A denial of service assault is a cyberattack whereby criminals overload a purpose server with requests, stopping official requests from being fulfilled.

After Killnet posted Atrium Properly being’s Cabarrus County location in a Telegram submit, AtriumHealth.org It was each offline or severely restricted spherical 4:30 PM on Monday. Atrium Properly being is one among better than a dozen hospital strategies he has named as a purpose.

Channel 9 reached out to Atrium Properly being for contact upon the alleged assault and acknowledged Atrium Properly being was investigating the outage.
