Attracting the attention of the LGBTQ+ community: 8 Olympic sports to watch

The countdown to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games has begun, and Out is firmly Team LGBTQ+. We are excited to see which athletes will be competing at the Olympics and are setting our sights on the sports that we will be watching with a keen interest. Diving, gymnastics, rugby, swimming, wrestling, rowing, track and field, and volleyball are some of the sports that will have the LGBTQ+ community glued to their TVs.

In diving, we have athletes like Tom Daley from the United Kingdom and Gregory Duncan and Tyler Downs from the United States who will be competing. Gymnastics will feature athletes such as Rayan Dutra from Brazil and Samuel Mikulak from the United States. Rugby will see players like Germán Schulz from Argentina and Nathan Lawson from Australia competing. Swimming will feature athletes like Carson Foster from the United States and Sean Gunn, also from the United States.

In wrestling, we have athletes like David Taylor and Hassan Yazdani competing for the United States and Iran respectively. Rowing will feature athletes like Robbie Manson from New Zealand and Hugo Boucheron from France. Track and field will see athletes like Brendon Rodney from Canada and Kenny Bednarek from the United States competing. Volleyball will feature athletes like Gianluca Galassi from Italy and Eric Burggräf from Germany.

The LGBTQ+ community is eagerly looking forward to the Paris 2024 Olympic Games and supporting athletes from around the world in a wide range of sports.
