Timothy Norton has been appointed as the new Vice President and Chief Legal Officer at Augusta Health, succeeding Jean Veilleux who will retire in July after four years of service. Norton previously worked at Health First in Melbourne, Florida, as the Vice President and Deputy Chief Legal Counsel. Before that, he was the Assistant General Counsel at WellSpan Health in York, Pennsylvania.
Mary N. Mannix, the President and CEO of Augusta Health, expressed her pleasure in welcoming Norton to the team, citing his extensive experience in healthcare legal and regulatory affairs as an asset to the organization. Norton, a native of Virginia Beach, is a graduate of George Mason University and Widener School of Law, and also holds an LL.M. degree in Health Law from Loyola University Chicago School of Law.
Excited to join Augusta Health and relocate with his family, Norton looks forward to contributing to the organization’s mission to enhance the health and well-being of the community. Mannix and the Board of Directors are confident in the expertise Norton brings to the table, given his background in healthcare transactions and regulations.
