Virginia State Police have arrested 38-year-old Jason Fragale on 10 felony charges related to child pornography. Fragale is believed to have uploaded images of child pornography to the messaging app Kik and made disturbing comments indicating sexual assault towards children. Fragale also operated the Crimson All-Star Cheerleading Club out of an office in Reston Town Center and went by an alias, Jason Mariani. Although records show that the business is defunct, police are investigating whether it was a legitimate enterprise or just a front to lure young girls for inappropriate purposes.

According to Virginia State Police Special Agent Mike Bullock, Fragale used the alias Jason Mariani and presented himself as a cheerleading coach to young girls. He distributed business cards with this alias along with the name of the business, USA Cheer. Authorities are urging anyone who had contact with Fragale under this alias to reach out to the police. Investigators are looking into whether Fragale used the cheerleading business to manipulate young girls into coming to his office under false pretenses.

The suspect kept residences in Florida and Leesburg and was apprehended at Orlando International Airport before leaving the country. Fragale is due in court in July for his connection to the child pornography charges. Although he has not been charged in connection to the cheerleading business, investigators are warning parents to speak with their children and report any interactions with Fragale. The Virginia State Police are working with the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force in this ongoing investigation.
