On Sunday, June 23, Katy Perry surprised fans with a runway appearance at Vogue World: Paris in France. The singer shared behind-the-scenes footage of her wearing a naked geometric dress at the Place Vendôme. In a TikTok video, Perry expressed her excitement about modeling the archival Noir Kei Ninomiya dress with geometric shapes and tulle floral embellishments. She even included a snippet of her upcoming single, “Woman’s World,” set to be released on July 11, in the video.
“Woman’s World” will be Perry’s first single since 2021, when she released “Electric” and “When I’m Gone.” At the event, Perry completed her look with lace-up boots, slicked-back hair, rosy lipstick, and matching eye shadow. The event, hosted by Cara Delevingne and celebrating the intersection of fashion and sports, took viewers through the decades starting with the 1920s.
Each decade paid homage to a sport as well as a French designer or fashion house. Perry walked the runway during the 1980s segment, which was a tribute to martial arts. Other celebrities at Vogue World: Paris included Joey King, Sabrina Carpenter, Ashley Graham, Gigi Hadid, and Kendall Jenner.
