Belgian Dieter Vranckx has been appointed chairman of Brussels Airlines, as announced by the airline on Monday. Vranckx, who previously served as CEO of Brussels Airlines, has now been appointed chairman of the board of directors of SN Airholding, the holding company of Brussels Airlines fully owned by Lufthansa Group. He takes over the role from Christina Foerster, who is leaving Lufthansa.

Vranckx has a long history within the Lufthansa Group, having been with Brussels Airlines from 2018 to 2021, first as CFO and then as CEO.
