Benton Township, Michigan – Police will be providing new information on Tuesday regarding the kidnapping and robbery that took place at a sporting goods store in Benton Township last week. The armed robbery occurred at the Dunham’s Sports store located at 1000 E. Napier Avenue last Friday.
During their investigation, law enforcement discovered that the manager of Dunham’s was kidnapped at gunpoint and held hostage by two suspects. One of the suspects entered the closed store and stole a large number of pistols while the manager was being held. After the robbery, the manager was released and promptly contacted the police. The suspects were tracked and taken into custody, and all but one of the stolen pistols were recovered.
