Solos has recently introduced their newest smart glasses, AirGo Vision, which are equipped with GPT-4o and generative artificial intelligence (AI) capable of analyzing visual input. These smart glasses can provide real-time information based on what the wearer sees, such as recognizing people, objects, landmarks, providing walking directions, checking prices, and more.
Instead of using Google Lens or a similar service on a phone, AirGo Vision users can capture photos hands-free and ask for information. For example, they could inquire about a recipe step or inquire about where to purchase an item. The glasses can answer multiple queries at once, such as identifying an object and its cost, and suggesting better prices elsewhere.
The AirGo Vision features swappable frames, allowing users to choose between having a front camera or not. It also includes a built-in LED notification light that discreetly alerts the wearer to new notifications. Visual alerts are particularly useful in noisy environments, quiet environments where notifications might be missed, and for users who are hard of hearing.
This is not Solos’ first venture into AI-powered smart glasses, as they previously unveiled the Solos AirGo3 smart glasses with ChatGPT at CES 2024. While the AirGo3 glasses focus on audio interactions, the AirGo Vision glasses enable users to search for information using visual input. The AirGo Vision is expected to be released later this year, with three styles of LED-only frames coming out in July at an MSRP of $249.99.
