The NFL Draft is a highly anticipated event in the league’s offseason, and unlike the Super Bowl which is held in a predetermined location, the draft can be hosted in any city. Buffalo is keen on becoming a part of the NFL’s traveling road show during the offseason. The Buffalo Bills have announced their plan to bid for the 2028 draft, which would be held at their new stadium that is currently under construction.

In the upcoming years, the 2025 draft will be hosted in Green Bay while the 2026 draft is set for Pittsburgh. The host for the 2027 draft has not yet been awarded. It seems like every city will eventually have the opportunity to host the draft, one after another, before making its way back to Chicago where the non-New York draft first began in 2015.

Detroit drew a massive crowd of over 775,000 fans over three days during the 2024 draft, demonstrating the high level of excitement and interest surrounding this event. Hosting the NFL Draft is not only a great opportunity for cities to showcase their strengths and become part of the league’s offseason festivities, but it also brings in a significant number of fans and boosts the local economy.
