BJ Thompson, Chief DE, wakes up and responds after cardiac arrest

During a game against the Arizona Cardinals at State Farm Stadium on August 19, 2023 in Glendale, Arizona, the Kansas City Chiefs faced a medical emergency that resulted in the cancellation of their team practice. Backup defensive end BJ Thompson suffered a seizure and went into cardiac arrest during a special teams meeting, leading to him being transported to the hospital in stable condition.
