Blackhawks ink defenseman T.J. Brodie to 2-year deal – NBC Sports Chicago

The Chicago Blackhawks have signed defenseman T.J. Brodie to a two-year contract worth $3.75 million per year. Brodie, 34, previously played for the Toronto Maple Leafs for four seasons and the Calgary Flames for ten seasons. Throughout his career, Brodie has been known for his defensive skills and has consistently played over 21 minutes per game.

Brodie is a reliable shutdown player and brings experience to the Blackhawks’ defense. He joins defenseman Alec Martinez, who signed a one-year contract with the team. Both players will provide stability to Chicago’s defense and mentor younger players like Kevin Korchinski.
