Apple is reportedly in talks with Google to use its AI technology, Gemini, in its products, according to a report by Bloomberg. This comes after Apple recently announced its own free AI, Apple Intelligence, for its products along with a partnership with OpenAI to improve its assistant Siri’s capabilities.

Bloomberg notes that Apple may announce a deal with at least one AI company, either Google or Anthropic, to enhance its system. The report dismisses the possibility of a merger with Meta, citing superior services offered by OpenAI, Google, and Anthropic.

While earlier reports suggested talks between Apple and Meta, it is now clarified that no deal materialized following their meeting in March. Apple’s AI capabilities will play a crucial role in boosting hardware sales, with experts predicting new features to be a highlight of the iPhone 16 launch.

Apple Intelligence, announced for Mac, iPhone, and iPad, is also expected to extend to augmented and virtual reality glasses, Vision Pro. Even though Apple is actively working on incorporating AI into these devices, the merger is not projected to happen this year, according to Bloomberg.
